Town's U18 side drew 1-1 with a very physical Reading side on Saturday morning. Liam Craig scored the Town goal on 59 minutes.

Town notched their second home win of the season with a comfortable 3-1 win against Cardiff City, and in doing so went fifth in the table. Darren Bent put the Blues ahead in the first half but Alan Lee hit back after the break, only for Tommy Miller and Ian Westlake to net for Town.

A tabloid newspaper is linking former Town loanee Alan Mahon with a return to Portman Road. Mahon enjoyed a highly successful spell with the Blues last season but ultimately signed permanently at Wigan Athletic.

Bolton Wanderers are reported to be the Premiership club set to sign ex-Town full-back Chris Makin on a Bosman transfer. Yesterday TWTD revealed the former Oldham, Marseille and Sunderland man had turned down the offer of another contract at Portman Road.

Midfielder Jermaine Wright has officially told Town he will not be signing the new deal recently offered to him. The out-of-contract 28-year-old, who has spent five years at Portman Road, is understood to have been offered a more lucrative deal by a Premiership club, probably Everton.

Central defender John McGreal remains Town's only injury concern ahead of Tuesday's play-off semi-final second leg at West Ham. McGreal has a slight calf strain and did not train with the rest of the squad on Monday.
